Honoring Excellence in Design: The John Staub Awards

Published by Texas A&M University Press, Honoring Excellence in Design: The John Staub Awards celebrates more than a decade of exceptional architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, preservation, and craftsmanship recognized through the Texas Chapter’s biennial John Staub Awards.

Created in honor of distinguished Texas architect John F. Staub, the awards recognize work rooted in the classical and vernacular traditions while reflecting the enduring character, craftsmanship, and regional identity of Texas and beyond.

This richly illustrated volume brings together award-winning projects from 2011 through 2024, creating a lasting record of the architects, designers, landscape architects, artisans, and craftspeople whose work continues to advance these traditions.

Published in conjunction with the Texas Chapter’s 20th anniversary, the book celebrates both the legacy of the John Staub Awards and the remarkable body of work they have recognized over the past fifteen years.
